Frequently asked questions
How Far Are the Courts from Pleasant View?
Our facility at 30 Elkhorn Dr is west of Pleasant View along Sheppard Avenue, near Bayview Avenue. The drive typically takes under 10 minutes. Families near Hillcrest Village and the Leslie Street area can also reach us easily by car or via Bayview Station and Bessarion Station on the Line 4 Sheppard subway.
What Summer Tennis Options Exist for Kids?
Our junior summer camp runs for up to 11 weeks with full-day and half-day options to suit different family schedules. Daily sessions blend structured tennis drills with off-court activities, and extended care is available for working parents. Flexible weekly enrolment lets Pleasant View families choose exactly which weeks suit their summer plans.
Do You Offer Programmes for Adults?
Yes, our adult group lessons are an 8-week programme with a 4:1 student-to-coach ratio. We group players by skill level, so beginners and intermediate players both receive coaching matched to their ability. Adults near Newtonbrook and the Finch Avenue area find our scheduling convenient.
What Does Spring Training Look Like?
The junior spring programme is an 8-week block with 2 to 3 sessions per week. Coaches focus on core stroke mechanics, footwork patterns, and early match-play concepts. Families from Pleasant View and Bayview Village use it to prepare for summer camp.
How Are Young Children Introduced to Tennis?
Can I Book One-on-One Coaching?
Private tennis lessons are available 7 days a week for both juniors and adults. These sessions let you work on specific goals — whether that is improving your serve, developing net play, or preparing for a competitive match. Semi-private options are also offered for pairs who want to train together.
What Happens During the Fall Programme?
The fall junior programme is a 6-week session focused on consolidating skills gained over the summer months. Players refine their technique and build tactical understanding in preparation for the indoor season. Families from Pleasant View and Don Valley Village use it to maintain progress year-round.
What Safety Measures Are in Place?
Coaches are trained in first aid, equipment is inspected regularly, and student-to-coach ratios are kept small to ensure proper supervision at all times. We maintain a safe, organised environment on all six courts so players can focus entirely on learning and improving without parents having to worry about their child’s wellbeing.
Is Membership Required for All Programmes?
Yes, all participants must hold an active membership before joining any programme. Junior and lessons-only adult memberships are available for the current season. This gives members access to the club grounds and the full range of seasonal programming. Check the website for current membership details and pricing.

What Our Students Say
“I’d like to share how much I enjoyed my lessons with Coach Ahmed during summer 2025. He is one of the kindest, most attentive, caring, and humorous coaches I’ve met in my tennis journey. He consistently followed well-planned lessons while remaining flexible to meet students’ individual needs. He was also very accommodating in arranging makeup lessons when we had to miss sessions during the summer. Overall, I highly recommend Ahmed to players of any level. He made my experience at Bayview Village Tennis Club far more engaging and enjoyable and I can’t wait to go back to his class this summer again.”
