Frequently asked questions

We run programmes across three seasons: spring, summer, and fall. The spring session is 8 weeks long, summer camp extends up to 11 weeks with flexible enrolment, and the fall programme runs for 6 weeks. Each season builds progressively on the previous one, giving players a continuous development path that keeps skills sharp from early spring through to late autumn.

Our Elkhorn Dr courts are a short trip east of Lansing via Sheppard Avenue. Families near Sheppard-Yonge Station or Newtonbrook typically reach us within 10 minutes by car or transit. The Line 4 Sheppard subway makes the commute straightforward for those who prefer public transportation over driving.

Yes, our advanced junior groups include intensive match-play drills and tactical training designed to prepare players for competitive tournaments. Coaches work on strategy, mental focus, and game-situation decision making. Players from Willowdale and surrounding neighbourhoods use these sessions to build the competitive edge they need.

Our junior summer camp combines daily tennis training with supervised off-court activities for up to 11 weeks, which is longer than most programmes in the area. Flexible weekly scheduling and extended care options before and after standard hours set it apart, making it practical for working families in the Lansing and North York area.

Yes, semi-private tennis lessons allow two or three players to share a session with a dedicated coach. This format offers personalised coaching at a shared rate, making it ideal for friends, siblings, or colleagues near the Lansing area who want focused instruction without the full cost of a one-on-one session.

Juniors aged 4 to 18 are grouped by both age and ability level, so younger beginners always train separately from older advanced players. This ensures each child receives instruction suited to their stage of development. Learn more about how we structure player development through our tennis programmes in North York and find the right group for your child.

Parents are welcome to observe from designated viewing areas around our courts at any time during scheduled sessions. Families from Henry Farm and the Don Mills corridor often watch their children play while our coaches maintain focused, uninterrupted practice. We encourage parents to see their child’s progress firsthand.

Coaches evaluate each player regularly throughout every programme session. They provide direct feedback on technique, court movement, and tactical understanding, then adjust training plans as players advance through skill milestones. This ongoing assessment ensures that no player stagnates and that everyone continues to be appropriately challenged as they improve.
Private and semi-private lessons are available 7 days a week, including Saturday and Sunday, at our Bayview Village courts. Group programmes follow a weekday schedule during spring, summer, and fall sessions. Weekend availability is especially popular with adults and families who have weekday commitments and need flexible session times.

Visit our website to explore available programmes and find the right fit for your family. For any questions about scheduling, membership, or directions, contact us by phone at 905-889-7293 or by email. Our team is happy to help Lansing families choose the best programme for their goals.

Testimonial

What Our Students Say

I’d like to share how much I enjoyed my lessons with Coach Ahmed during summer 2025. He is one of the kindest, most attentive, caring, and humorous coaches I’ve met in my tennis journey. He consistently followed well-planned lessons while remaining flexible to meet students’ individual needs. He was also very accommodating in arranging makeup lessons when we had to miss sessions during the summer. Overall, I highly recommend Ahmed to players of any level. He made my experience at Bayview Village Tennis Club far more engaging and enjoyable and I can’t wait to go back to his class this summer again.”
