Frequently asked questions

Our Elkhorn Dr facility is west of Kennedy Park, accessible via Sheppard Avenue or Highway 401 heading toward Bayview Avenue. The drive takes roughly 15 to 20 minutes. Kennedy Station on the TTC provides connections westward. Families from Wexford and the Birchmount Road area travel a similar route.
We offer a spring programme (8 weeks), summer camp (up to 11 weeks), and a fall programme (6 weeks). Each season builds on the previous one, creating a year-round development pathway. Full-day, half-day, and extended care options are all available during the summer for flexible family scheduling.
Absolutely. We welcome players from across the GTA, including Kennedy Park, Scarborough Village, and the wider Scarborough community. Families near Ionview and the Eglinton Avenue East corridor also make the trip to our North York facility for structured seasonal coaching led by certified professionals.
Beginners start with grip fundamentals, basic forehand and backhand strokes, simple footwork patterns, and court awareness. Coaches use a progressive approach, adding rally play, serving, and point construction as confidence grows. Young children use modified equipment sized for their age to make learning accessible and enjoyable from day one.
Private and semi-private lessons are offered 7 days a week, including evenings and weekends. Sessions are tailored to your specific goals, from stroke correction to competitive preparation. Weekend availability is especially useful for Kennedy Park families with weekday school and work commitments.
We maintain a 4:1 ratio for advanced players and 6:1 for beginners. These small groups ensure each participant receives meaningful personalised feedback during every session. Coaches adjust groupings as players develop, so no one is held back or placed beyond their current ability level.
Our director holds National Champion credentials with over 40 years of coaching expertise. The team includes OTA certified instructors with national titles and international rankings. Families near L’Amoreaux and Kennedy Park value this calibre of professional coaching for their children’s long-term tennis development.
The fall programme runs for 6 weeks, consolidating skills gained during summer camp. Coaches refine technique, develop tactical awareness, and build mental readiness for indoor season play. It serves as a bridge between summer training and winter so players do not lose their progress.
Yes, a membership is needed before joining any programme. Junior and adult lessons-only memberships cover the current season. Membership provides access to the club grounds and all seasonal offerings. Call 905-889-7293 or visit the website for details.

What Our Students Say

I’d like to share how much I enjoyed my lessons with Coach Ahmed during summer 2025. He is one of the kindest, most attentive, caring, and humorous coaches I’ve met in my tennis journey. He consistently followed well-planned lessons while remaining flexible to meet students’ individual needs. He was also very accommodating in arranging makeup lessons when we had to miss sessions during the summer. Overall, I highly recommend Ahmed to players of any level. He made my experience at Bayview Village Tennis Club far more engaging and enjoyable and I can’t wait to go back to his class this summer again.”
